Ashurst Perkins Coie has opened an office in Houston, Texas, bringing in two lawyers from Bracewell. It is the firm's first new office since its formation in June, with an initial focus on energy and infrastructure work.

Energy transactions partner Thomas Tomlinson joins after 27 years at Bracewell. His practice covers conventional and renewable power generation, energy storage, oil and gas, and pipeline projects.

Real estate partner Tamara McKinzie previously served as senior counsel at Bracewell and has more than 20 years of experience in real estate, including asset acquisitions, development, financing and dispositions.

Formed through the merger of Ashurst and Perkins Coie, Ashurst Perkins Coie also has offices in Dallas and Austin, Texas.
