Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Merger Completed

On July 1, 2026, Hogan Lovells and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft completed their merger to form Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, marking one of the largest law firm mergers to date.

 

Following the merger, the new firm will have approximately 3,100 lawyers across offices in 18 countries, with expected annual gross revenue of more than $3.6 billion.

 

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader will have five major business centers in London, Washington, D.C., New York, Germany and the FRIS (France, Italy and Spain) region. Hogan Lovells CEO Miguel Zaldivar will serve as CEO of the combined firm.

 

Founded in 1792, Cadwalader is one of the oldest law firms on Wall Street, with more than 230 years of history. Hogan Lovells has also maintained a presence for more than a century in major markets including Washington, D.C., London and Germany.
