LQ Score is the core quantitative measure developed by LQ (Legal Quotient) to assess the overall performance of law firms and legal professionals. Through independent research, market research and data analysis, LQ conducts a comprehensive assessment of multiple dimensions, including professional capability, track record, client recognition, market recognition, market impact and consistency, to determine the LQ Score.
Research and Data Sources
The LQ Score is not based on a single data point or a single survey. LQ considers information from multiple sources, including submissions from firms and professionals, client and market feedback, peer feedback, public and verifiable information, and LQ's independent research data. These sources are cross-referenced and comparatively analysed to form the basis of the assessment.
Determining the LQ Score
LQ researchers conduct a comprehensive assessment based on information from different sources, taking into account the relevant jurisdiction, practice area and market context of the evaluated firm or professional. The LQ Score is not determined by any single metric, matter or piece of feedback, but represents LQ's quantitative assessment of the overall performance and relative market standing of the evaluated firm or professional.
Those achieving an LQ Score of 90.0 or above may receive an LQ Level based on their final score:

Independence
LQ maintains a clear separation between its research and commercial activities. The final LQ Score is determined independently by LQ based on its research methodology and independent judgment.
Commercial participation is not considered in determining the LQ Score. No firm or individual can obtain a higher LQ Score or LQ Level through the purchase of products, advertising, memberships or other commercial services.
